As a college kid, being home for the summer can be a weird experience. Some days you love it, lots of days you might wish you're back at college. Here's the Pros and Cons of being home for the summer.
Pro: Food is free!
The fridge is always stocked! You don't have to eat in a dining hall OR pay for your groceries! Your bank account thanks you.
Con: You're kinda lonely...
You miss all of your college friends. In college, you spent pretty much every waking hour with your friends, and all of the sudden they're just not around...
Pro: Netflix all the time!
You aren't even using it to procrastinate!
Con: Netflix all the time....
So, what's the fun? Also, you already finished the series within like 6 days and now you're lost. \
Pro: Seeing high school friends!
You get to reconnect with all of your best pals! It's fun to catch up and reminisce.
Con: Going to the grocery store feels like a high school reunion.
Unfortunately, you can't really seem to go anywhere without seeing someone you know. You seem to run into them *especially* when you:
a.) look your worst
b.) are trying to make a quick get-a-way
c.) both a & b
Pro: No more studying!
This one is self explanatory.
Con: No excuse to not get a job.
Okay, some of us work while we're in college. However, if you're like me, you might consider college your "job" that you "work full-time" (I know, I'm the worst). When you're home for the summer, you really have no reason to not have a job. It's okay, you'll make money.
While being home is always great (and great for your wallet), in the end, we're all pretty much ready to go back to college by the time school rolls around. You'll make it through, I promise.
