HGTV stars Jonathan and Drew Scott are definitely known for their presence on TV as "The Property Brothers" as well as hosting other house renovation themed game shows. Little did the world know that they had a secret talent deep down inside. What is it you're probably asking? Well... they sing! And coming from a guy who hates country, it's actually good.
"Music has just always been part of our lives, something we're passionate about—we grew up on a ranch where most weekend nights ended in us all around the campfire, with our dad playing guitar," they told The Hollywood Reporter.
"There have been times in our lives where people have told us something just can't be done, and we've become addicted to proving these naysayers wrong."
Now they have two singles out, and just released a heart-melting video for their song 'Hold On' which was released this past November in correlation with a special episode of their show; Home on the Ranch, where the Property Bothers renovated a family friend's ranch near where they grew up.
The video released this past Wednesday (via Vevo), shows a military dad being reunited with his family, and it's sure to make viewers tear up. I don't know about you, but whenever I see those heart-warming videos of a dog seeing it's owner for the first time since being deployed, or kids seeing their military parent, it always gives me the feels. Maybe it's just because my mom was in the military... or maybe just because there's nothing like quality time with your family.
Between the rustic country scenery, the typical barn shot, and the family coming together and enjoying each other's presence I'd say the brothers hit a home run with their first music video.
If you think the Property Brothers are going to stop filming their TV show to pursue music, then you'd be wrong. They do plan on releasing a full album titled At Home, but they plan on continuing their show and squeezing music in as much as possible.
If you like country, then you'll enjoy the twin's new video for their catchy single. And if you don't like country, still give it a chance. If I was able to sit through the almost three minute song, so can you.
