Have you ever noticed that you are more productive when you have a ton of things going on? Yeah, it’s super stressful, but something about having to move from task to task is exhilarating. Is that just me? I love the feeling of getting things done, and I noticed that I get more done when I have a lot to do in a given day. Of course, that means that when I am not so busy, the work I need to get done sits incomplete because I don’t have any motivation to get started. If this sounds like you, maybe you need a project to give your lazy days structure, too.
1. Find your passion
No, not the passion that is supposed to define your life, but something that you simply like doing. Maybe you like crafting, photography, writing, building model airplanes, solving complicated math equations, learning new languages, etc. The list goes on forever, and I’m sure there is something out there that gives you joy. Once you find out what it is, we can get started on a project.
2. Make it into a project
If you like crafting, consider going to the local craft store and picking out something to do, like learning how to knit or scrapbook. If you are interested in writing or photography, start a blog to showcase your talents. Find a way to exercise your passion that doesn’t feel like work, but requires a bit of time and effort.
3. Keep it fun
The point of starting a project is to keep your days structured and give you something fun to do to help relieve stress. If you start seeing your project as work and dread having to do it, then it probably isn’t right for you!
Stay sane out there as we start our new school year and share your projects with anyone who may be interested!
