If you’re anything like me, you have been back from school for about two weeks now, and you feel like you have not left your house. This may not even be the case, but not having a set schedule like you had at school is making you feel unproductive. It may be too late to sign up for a summer class, or apply for a serious internship, but there are plenty of other purposeful things that you can fill up your schedule with.

1. Babysit.

I babysat a lot in high school, and loved doing so. It is easy money, and it is so fun! Go call the old families that you used to babysit for, or have your family members ask around for you.

2. See if local camps are hiring.

Usually, local day camps continue to accept campers as summer approaches, and they need the staff to match the number of kids. Go around and see if your local camps are hiring. Not only will you be making money, you'll be having an amazing summer.

3. Start working out.

Instead of sitting on the couch for hours at a time, take an hour or two to go to the gym, run, swim, or exercise in anyway that you like! Summer is the perfect time to get in shape. If you're reading this article, and have no idea what to do with your time, you do not have an excuse for not working out!

4. Find a hobby.

I know finding a hobby sounds super hard, but pick up something that you have always been interested in, but never had the time to actually do. Maybe being a new book series, or start running. Again, you have so much time on your hands, so no excuses!

5. Start a new show.

We both know you are going to watch a ton of Netflix and Hulu this summer, so why not fully commit to a show? Maybe start something more serious, like Breaking Bad or House of Cards. You have the time to really get invested in it, so why not go big!

6. Catch up with old friends.

Chances are, there are a lot of people from your hometown that are home from college, and not exactly sure what to do with your time. Text that old friend that you have not seen in a while and grab lunch! You will most likely be so happy that you did.

7. Explore your town.

You have been up at college for nearly a year, so a lot has probably changed in your town since you have left. Go to a new restaurant, or workout class that just opened. If you are not in the mood to try something new, you can always reminisce and enjoy the things that you love about your town.

8. Spend time with family.

Your family wants to spend time with you while your down, so why don't you channel your boredom into lunch with your grandma or a movie night with your mom. As much as you hate to admit it, you really miss your family at school. So, take this time to hang out with them and make the most of it!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
