Don’t you worry, the end is near. In most cases, this sounds quite terrifying, and your case, it might actually be. But through this stressful time, keep in mind, that you are going to be okay.
While the stress of finals builds and the projects are taking over your life, remember that this is only a short period of time that you will feel this way. In just a few short moments, summer will appear before your very eyes!
But for now, remember these few things:
Pain is temporary, GPA is forever
Just kidding… But seriously, keep pushing through. The reward of ending with a GPA you kicked ass at to get is going to be the most gratifying thing to start your summer. You will be thankful when your final grades come back that you pushed through this busy and stressful time.
One focus at a time
Make a list. Make it chronological. Make it purposeful. Use this tool to lay your thoughts out in front of you and ease all your stresses. This will be the most calming way to make it through your finals.
Take a break
You cannot and will not be successful if you pack your schedule so full you don’t have time for you. During this next week make time to relax and unwind. This will give you the opportunity to gather your thoughts and regroup.
Eat healthy
Don’t let that stress take over your life. Eat a satisfying meal that hits all the food groups so you can fuel your brain. And also make room for a little chocolate…
SLEEP
Get a full nights rest or take a few naps. So many studies have shown that without enough sleep, you're more likely to do worse in your studies. Not only will a solid sleep schedule fuel your brain, it will help you with your cravings and make you less likely to binge or eat junk food.
Laminate your notes so the tears roll off
Completely kidding here… But organize your notes in a way that is beneficial. You could even pick up a new way of studying to mix it up and keep things entertaining. You got this.
Choose your location wisely
Don’t study somewhere there is a chance people are going to be a distraction. Also, don’t study in a room full of electronics. These are the two most prominent distractions that every student faces and you should do your grades a favor by avoiding them.
Don’t worry
You are going to make it through this stressful time, just take it with a grain of salt… a shot of tequila and a slice of lime… KIDDING. That’s for after your last final. Focus on the now and put your mind to work. Summer is right around the corner, so study like I know you can and kill it!
