As I sit here watching Kingsman: The Secret Service, I sit here wondering, "Should I write my Odyssey article?"
I probably should; my editors can be pretty scary when they're angry. We don't like them when they're angry! But what can I do to procrastinate? I have a few ideas! But not until I've finished watching Kingsman...
My number one choice of procrastination is messing with Dan, my suitemate. Just now, I sent a text to his roommate saying:
'Dan, you're dumb'
And so I tell him to say that to Dan, which he does. Dan's reaction? The exact same as the above. Someone call NASA because my sides are in orbit.
If Dan isn't around, I just ask Caleb, the roommate mentioned above, a question regarding film scores. Once I walked in on him talking to himself in the mirror. My biggest mistake was asking him, "Why are you talking to yourself in the mirror?" His response was something along the lines of "Have you heard of allegorical music?" The following conversation evolved into one of Caleb's infamous sermons. You see, Caleb loves film scores more than life itself. This particular sermon was about film music that is representative of itself. He had previously spent four hours running to the band room to write down all his thoughts and blast the score that made him think about the allegory. The score? The Peanuts Movie.
By the time I got to Caleb, he was winding down because he had figured it all out. He gave me a summary of his last few hours. Six hours condensed into one. Halfway through, everything he was saying went way over my head, so I just started smiling and nodding. I hope one day I'll be as passionate about something as he is.
If both Dan and Caleb are around, we watch movies so Caleb can analyze the score afterwards and make Dan uncomfortable. We even have a list of over 30 movies Dan hasn't seen but has to see, Kingsman being one of them. Dan liked it. He said it was the best on the list so far, even better than "How To Train Your Dragon 2!"
If I can't find Caleb or Dan, I mosey my way over to the music building and practice tuba, but this only happens once in a blue moon. Fortunately, I can only practice for a few hours without going crazy or security kicking me out, so at some point I have to actually go back to my dorm to write my article.
Once I return, I realize that there are some tasty programs on my computer I haven't opened in a while. Path of Exile, did you get a new update? Oh my, it seems as though it was accidentally clicked! It would be a shame if I just exited out without giving it attention!
After I have sufficiently procrastinated, I will go to a writing place and start writing my article.
At 2 in the morning.
Oh look! Facebook!
