The Process Of A Lifetime

If you can’t appreciate the journey to the reward, then you don’t deserve the reward.

This year has been filled with so many great blessings and tough lessons. This year we truly learned what it meant to grind. This year's hardships caused us to look a little deeper into ourselves and find the strength and ultimately the solutions to get us to the next place. We didn’t get it perfect this year, but the blessings never stopped coming ( I’m so grateful for that). This year was completely dedicated to the process!

Process is a word most of us hate but claim to love. You’ll often hear people talk about they’re here for the journey ,but truth be told they’re only there for the journey when it’s moving at the pace they want ... Oh but when it doesn’t , there’s surely Hell to pay! Process most times doesn’t go at the speed we would like. Everyone’s process is different and takes a different amount of time to reach where they need to be and want to be. We often try to push past the process and get straight to the rewards. I was taught that if you can’t appreciate the journey to the reward then you don’t deserve the reward. I totally agree with that, the journey is the most important part , the reward is just the reminder of all the many lessons you’ve learned and experiences you’ve had. The reward is also a symbol that you’ve succeeded and now that you have, you can help someone else through. This year we’ve experienced some of the toughest situations and been given enough grace to endure them and have ultimately been blessed in return. Those hardships caused some break downs, some heartaches, some sleepless night, some teary eyes, some broken dreams , some suicidal thoughts, some lost hope, and so many other things. Through all of that we are still here. We made it! we completed the process! After all of those losses we were able to receive such great blessings … things like, Joy, peace, love, visions, purpose and so on. Some of those blessings came through material things and others internally but no matter how it came , I know I speak for everyone when I say we are just grateful that it came!

As this year comes to an end it will be the end of a process for many. Many will start the new year with new jobs, or promotions, new homes, new cars and so much more. All of these things will be very enjoyable and will be the reward of a process well done. But remember that rewards are just the beginning of a new process so never forget the value of the reward. If you haven’t seen your light at the end of the tunnel yet, just hold on you’ve almost finished your process. Enjoy the journey, the reward is waiting for your arrival.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
