As part of Generation Z, people think it's okay to be with just anybody. My question is why? What happened to people having values and morals. We all know that love is something special, and some may think you can be in love with just about anybody. I don't think so, I believe God has someone in particular for me to spend the rest of my life, and to worship the Lord day in and day out till we make our way to heaven.
Chivalry is still around, but I don't see it in young men as much as I do older gentlemen. What happened to opening a door for a lady? I think, sometimes, young ladies today are appalled when a young man does a nice gesture. Ladies, we can still be independent. If the guy wants to pull the chair out for you, let him. I understand in today's world, the lady sometimes picks up the check and that's totally okay. Some couples have a routine, like the guy pays for the check one date and the next the lady pays. Awesome, but guys don't forget us girls appreciate you treating us to dinner.
Saving ourselves till marriage, is that even a thing anymore? I will save myself for the man got intends on me marrying. Not enough people want that for themselves because the world tells them they're "different" or "weird" for being a virgin. Label me whatever you want, but I know waiting will be worth it.
The consumption of alcohol and drugs are the "cool" thing to do today. Why? People think it's fun to get drunk and high, and have fun with that hangover. The feeling you that you get when you're drunk and high will not compare to the feeling you get when you're sober and completely here. I would much rather have memories of me and my friends laughing about something sober. Plus most of my generation where I see it most that are drinking are underage. Let's not forget that marijuana is only legal in four states, and for the other forty-six states left that makes it illegal. Not only are you making bad choices, but you are being a delinquent.
Through the name calling and the diversity, I'm going to continue living my life for the Lord. I just ask my generation to stop, and to think about the choices they are making today. The choices we make today, will have shape our tomorrow. Along the way, I will keep praying that temptation won't get to me and the rest of my generation and that we can find strength in the Lord. Why must we get caught up in the norms of the generation, and be just like everyone else? I feel like if we choose to be in that group, you are just like everybody else and you don't have any individuality. Will you take part in the norms of Generation Z?
