Pretty Little Liars -- Season 6 Finale

On June 8 of 2010, I sat down to watch the pilot episode of a new television series by the name "Pretty Little Liars." Who would have imagined that five years later, as a senior in college, I would still be completely capture by the tale of five high school girls in Rosewood, Pennsylvania.

"Pretty Little Liars" is one of the best "who-done-it" stories I have ever followed. I constantly find myself at false truths and dead ends as I try, along with other viewers, to unravel the story. Well, this past Tuesday the season 6 finale aired and so many questions were answered, so many new questions were presented, but most importantly we know who "A" is. If you haven't watched the episode, watch it now. I do not want to be the one that spoils the surprise for as I discuss key details of the show.

The revealing of "A"!

Questions that have never been answered:

  1. Shawna, Jena, Nole, and the NAT club -- what was their deal? While many of the citizens of Rosewood have caused suspicion, all but few were able to dissolve any myths and clear up any questions about their involvement with the girls. Their behavior is still under question!
  2. Why did no one think to check Aly's pulse before dropping her in the ground? Every time they talk about that night I get frustrated. Mrs. D never tried to revive Aly. She just immediately called it quits.
  3. Did the moms ever get out of the basement?
  4. Why can't Emily ever find love?
  5. Who killed Mrs. D?

New Questions:

  1. Did Charles-Charlotte-CeCe have a complete sex change?
  2. How did Sara get involved with CeCe?
  3. Why would Resse be helping CeCe? What is their connection?
  4. "He's coming for you." Is Aria talking about Charles-Charlotte-CeCe? They have always considered CeCe a female, although we have been informed for her full identity. I just assumed they continue to refer to her as "she".
  5. In five years, why isn't Aly's penmanship better?
  6. "Mrs. Rollins"?? I'm guessing this is a subtle indication that Alison has found love with Rosewood's newest officer.

Comments:

  1. Has anyone else ever noticed how often Hannah says "b*tch"?
  2. When the girls were younger, Aly was known to make fun of Hannah's weight, but now, Hanna's body is bomb and Aly is the chunkier one. All bodies are beautiful, but karma is a b*tch (in my best Hannah Marin voice).

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
