It's that time of year again! The snow is falling, the fire is crackling, and Bing Crosby is playing on the radio; it's Christmas time! While there are so many wonderful things about the holiday season, it can also be a little stressful. So who better to walk you through some of the emotions you'll feel leading up to Christmas than our favorite characters from "The Office"?

1. Watching the first snowfall

Watching those first few flakes fall from the sky is a magical moment that must be witnessed by all.

2. Decorating the house

Blasting Trans-Siberian Orchestra and throwing tinsel around like it's nobody's business.

3. Listening to Christmas music

Fa la la la la, la la la la!

4. Thinking of gifts for everyone on your list

Let's see, I have $40 in my bank account and 10 people to get gifts for....

5. "Enjoying" the cold

Yeah, it's super festive almost slipping every 10 feet and being able to see your breath inside of your car.

6. Crowded malls

But seriously, where did all these people come from?

7. Waiting for packages to arrive

I know it said the arrival date was December 21st, but you never know, it could come early.

8. Being extra kind and showing everyone the "holiday spirit"

Gotta keep yourself on Santa's Nice List.

9. Wrapping gifts

Why does it have to be so hard??

10. Christmas baking

Looking forward to all of your favorite Christmas treats...

...and having a meltdown when someone forgot to make them.

11. When you just want to know who your Secret Santa is

Enough with the suspense, I just wanna know.

12. When Winter Break finally starts

Done! Done with tests, done with group assignments, and done with walking 20 minutes in the freezing cold to class!

13. Attending Christmas parties

Lights, sweaters, music, and copious amounts of mulled wine and cider.

14. Treating yourself

It's the holidays, you deserve it.

15. Getting a little sick of the Christmas music

How many versions of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" can there be?

16. Being watched as you open your gifts

Yes, I've always wanted a sweater with a light-up snowman on it...!

17. Feeling extra generous

"That is a perfectly good mini-tree, Kevin, and we are going to sell that to charity. That is what Christmas is all about."

18. Quality family time

Whether you love being around everyone in your family or have some people that are harder to deal with, Christmas brings about plenty of family time.

19. When you finally run out of money

That $40 only goes so far.

20. Breathing a sigh of relief on Christmas Day

When the day finally arrives you feel blessed to be happy, healthy, and spending the season with family.

In the words of Michael Gary Scott, "Christmas is awesome. First of all, you get to spend time with people you love. Secondly, you can get drunk and no one can say anything. Third, you give presents. What's better than giving presents? And fourth, getting presents. So, four things. Not bad for one day. It's really the greatest day of all time."

Happy holidays, everyone!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
