5 Tips For Preparing For A Disney Vacation
Travel and Leisure

To me, there is close to nothing that beats a Walt Disney vacation. There's just something about the happiest place on earth that makes me feel....well....pretty damn happy.

A Disney vacation requires some kind of planning though. With so much to do between the four parks, two water parks and Disney Springs, it's probably best to go with a game plan in mind.

Thankfully, Disney has provided us some help planning with the Disney World app. This app is God's gift to earth and if you're thinking about going to Disney anytime soon, you should definitely take advantage of everything this app has to offer.

1. Make reservations for restaurants

Disney has some really cool and unique restaurants in their four parks. Most of the sit down restaurants require reservations, which you can make in advanced through this app. Just pick a day, they'll give you the available time slots and you can pick whichever one works best. Easy, fast and super convenient.

2. Fast passes

Waiting in lines at Disney World will happen. That is a fact of life. Fast passes can help with your favorite rides though. These passes allow you to join a faster, shorter line on your favorite popular rides. The app allows you to reserve three fast passes each day of your stay, so you can get more done!

3. Wait lines for rides

This is possibly my favorite feature of this app. It has an estimate wait time for each ride in every park, which is super helpful when you actually get into the park and are trying to figure out where to start. The app is constantly updating this page as well, so the times are always accurate.

4. Itineraries for the day

If you ever have a super busy day planned, the app can help you manage all that. The app will keep track of where you are supposed to be, at what time for a certain event or reservation. You can even set up reminders, so you can stay on schedule and not be late for anything you have planned.

5. Maps

The app has extremely detailed maps of each park. This is helpful for people who don't exactly know their way around the parks, or if you're trying to find a specific ride or restaurant. Also, the app tells you where all the bathrooms in the park are and where certain characters are going to be during the day for meet and greets!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
