Potheads are granted with an unwanted title that can restrict them from gaining the confidence and respect they need to achieve greatness. However, as we see in pop culture today, the term “pothead” is slowly developing into something more. With the understanding of smoking marijuana to be non-harmful, the United States has become more lenient in their justice for pot smoking. As we see with artists, smoking the ganj has become a daily routine for them and, in a way, has been credited for their creative edge. I introduce to you, the most “influential” pothead rappers around.

Wiz Khalifa

“Tailor gang…” that’s all I know from Wiz. But, Wiz, as we all know, is a huge promoter for the ganj. Most of his songs are spun around the subject of smoking. Look online and you’ll see his many attempts to smoke crazy amounts of pot. He kinda reminds me of a ninja turtle so I can see the correlation between the pothead personality.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg or Snoop Lion, same person no matter what you call him, is the king of it all. The man has a show on YouTube that’s basically about bringing in his homies and lighting the studio on fire. Well not exactly, but everyone in the building is probably stoned out of their mind. Snoop will bring on famous rappers or celebrities and smoke them out—talking about God knows what. They probably don’t even know what they’re talking about.

Dr. Dre

A little more serious than our previous promoters. Dr. Dre rose up out of Compton where the ganj is a prominent commodity. He had no problems, however, smoking the green along with his passion, rapping. “Smoke weed everyday” became a signature calling sign for the influential rapper. For Christ's sake, his album "2001" has a marijuana leaf plant on it. Even to this day, the rapper recognizes he’s a pothead, but like everyone else on this list, he knows that there can be a benefit from it.

Schoolboy Q

Schoolboy Q’s psychedelic beats and catchy tunes are a perfect combination for a song to smoke to. It’s common to find a couple lines in his songs that talk about his smoking. Aside from his promotion for smoking, it’s the audience that makes Schoolboy the big promoter—creating songs too perfect to skip over when you’re hot boxing your mom’s car.

A$AP Rocky

A$AP can speak a story and make you feel all kinds of emotions. Typically portrayed as an artistic rapper, one can see A$AP as the psychedelic and creative genius who spawned the creative edge of marijuana. His slow beats and calm atmospheric tunes really get you thinking about life… and about the party tonight.

Lil Wayne

A mix of both party and chill vibes, you can play Weezy’s songs anytime, as long as there’s a blunt being passed around.

Lil Dicky

Go on YouTube and look up "Too High" by him, and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

Action Bronson

This grizzly bear of a man has no fear being a pothead. A fatter Seth Rogen who can spit mad fire is the best way to describe Action Bronson. Looking at him, you’d probably think he’s a lumberjack, but in reality he’s a New York repping rapper. Instead of cooking up flame food as a chef, he found Rap and instead, forgot cooking and leaned towards baking—or getting baked I should say.

The Underachievers

Not so much widely known as the other’s on this list, but these two rappers, AK and Issa Gold, bring the mind into their raps, promoting the psychedelic effects of smoking. Their music videos are trippy as sh*t and their songs are even more of a mindf*ck.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
