Instead of reading Stephen King or Nicholas Sparks, or if you find yourself turning the pages of the same predictable murder/crime novel, it's time to venture into postmodernism.
Thanks to a lovely little college course I took on postmodernism, I've found the pleasure of a new genre and style of writing. Postmodernism is a late 20th century style of art and criticism that breaks the common mold of everything you think you know about reading and viewing art. Some of the novels use tactics never before seen in traditional literature that I think most people would enjoy.
Below are my top favorite postmodern titles, including novels and short stories.
*Bonus points if you have to read them for class!*
