New snacks are quickly entering and oftentimes quickly leaving the market. With so many snack options overflowing our grocery store shelves, it is hard to pick just one. You may want to try all the new varieties of munchies, but do not want to fall in love with one that may fall off the shelves for good. Pretzels come in hundreds of flavors and thousands of shapes. Chips have new colors, textures, tastes and formations each and every day. You could probably eat a new cookie everyday for a year. But why would you want to? One snack, however, is as consistent as Donald Trump giving himself an unprompted compliment: POPCORN. It is hard for me to imagine that one would need a written reason to commit themselves to popcorn, let alone need 12 of them, but just incase you were on the fence, here are 12 reasons why popcorn is truly the only snack you will ever need.

1. It comes in so many different exciting flavors.

Whether you like it buttery, cheesy, kettle-y, caramel-y, buffalo-y, you name it, it's an option and it is good (in abundance, of course).

2. It is sold at all the best places.

You can get it at movie theaters, fairs, amusement parks, baseball games and pretty much anywhere you went for fun as a kid or as an adult if we are being honest.

3. You can cook it in a variety of different ways so nothing can come between you and your snacking.

Campfires, stovetops, microwaves, air poppers, specific popcorn machines, giant kettles the options are honestly endless.

4. It is low in calories.

So you don't feel so guilty when you eat the whole bag or maybe even the whole bin, but really who is counting?

5. It is a valid excuse to eat a lot of butter and not feel guilty about it.

You could be eating a whole stick of butter, so at least you aren't doing that.

6. It comes in a variety of exciting packagings.

Whether you like your popcorn in balls, bins, bags and boxes you have options and you can feel free to change it up.

7. It is impossible to mess up.

There is a button on every microwave so satisfying you taste buds really is as simple as the click of a button.

8. There are never more than 5 minutes of waiting that separate your mouth from buttery deliciousness.

It takes about three minutes in the microwave and is pretty much instantaneous if you are getting it at the movies and is always served warm and delicious.

9. The bite-sized pieces are perfect for violently stuffing your face.

Let's be honest, "as fast as possible" is really the only appropriate way to eat popcorn.

10. Chad Ocho Cinco and Terrell Owens have a song asking you to get your popcorn ready so you pretty much have to go make it now.

If you haven't seen this already, please go watch it for a good chuckle.

11. SNL featured Alec Baldwin in the infamous Schweddy Balls skit which just so happened to be all about... you guessed it! POPCORN.

Again if you haven't seen this, please go watch it now. It is so funny that even the actors break during the skit!

12. It is Steph Curry's favorite snack and if his love for popcorn hasn't convinced you, then you must not have a heart.

Everyone loves Steph. Steph loves popcorn. Therefore, everyone should love popcorn.

Now go eat some popcorn 'cause I know that is exactly what I am going to do.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
