Pokemon Sun and Moon

It is finally here!

Pokemon Sun and Moon

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" has been officially released everyone! It has been "Nintendo's" first worldwide release. I was one of many that received a copy yesterday and let me tell you I was waiting with my roommate by our mailroom doors ecstatic to receive our copy, and I have no shame telling you all this. We even did an "unboxing" video.

"Nintendo" promised new and they delivered. Although it has many of the usual themes that "Pokemon" gives us, from the hints of the single mom to a Professor guiding us through what Pokemon are and how things go in the world we now reside in.

However, there are some new changes, such as the abolishment of Pokemon Gyms and the creating of the Trials. I myself have just gotten through my first Grand Trial and am currently working on my second trial, and I am not quite sure how I feel about them compared to the gyms. However I am going to give them their chance and let you know next week my final decision after I beat the game.

Let me explain to you the trails, each trial is created and looked over by a Captain. The first trial will be my example, [SPOILER ALERT] You go through a cave and you need to look into hole's that are den's for whatever Pokemon reside in the cave. You then need to defeat x amount of Pokemon and defeat the totem Pokemon that the Captain of that trial has trained. At then end you are given a Z-crystal that allows whatever Pokemon that holds it to have a special Z-move of that type. [SPOILER ENDING]

It is a very different feeling for me from the old Pokemon games, however different doesn't mean bad. There is also the Festival Plaza, which you can use online, offline and locally and it is a blast! Your Pokemon can play games and increase their strength, as well as meet and greet other players which earns you FC. FC is the currency for the Festical Plaza which allows you to do the activities. You can make guests your VIP which has them visit more often, remember the more you greet the more FC you collect.

When you enter the Festival plaza you can also battle and trade. The battling and trading have not changed too much, so if you had played "Pokemon X and Y" then you already know about the GTS and Wonder Trade. If you do not, then do not worry I'll explain for you.

GTS or Global Trade System allows you to search for a specific Pokemon, all then way down to type, gender and level. You may also put out a Pokemon for trade so that when others look for it they can send out their Pokemon and the next time you connect to the Internet and check your new Pokemon will be ready and waiting for you.

Wonder Trade is a lot of fun! I use it almost like a game, because in the end, everything is up to chance due to the fact that it is all random. You choose a Pokemon to send out for trade, and then it will find a random person to trade with you and you do not find out what Pokemon they sent out until you are receiving it. It is all instantaneous and a lot of fun.

This is all for now but I promise to tell you all more when I beat the game! I love you all and thank you for reading, it's time for me to head back to the trails! Alola

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
