Every generation of Pokemon changes and has its fair share of new abilities. This upcoming generation of the two new games, Sun, and Moon, are three very unique in their own ways. Of course, like any '90s' kid, I will always love the starters from the original series. Despite Pikachu not overly being a starter, he was easily the most popular Pokemon and still is to this day. This new batch of Pokemon seems as though they may have the potential to be powerful and favorable allies in the game. The middle and final stage evolutions have not been released yet, but it is safe to say that there are many fan thoughts and art designs all over the web.

Every generation of starters follows a common pattern of types including fire, water and ground. The new starters have a mix of different types seen throughout the generations of Pokemon. An owl-like Pokemon that is grass and flying type, named Rowlet. Litten is a fire type kitten Pokemon. The water type Pokemon is a seal-like monster, named Popplio. So far what the company has released has sent fans into a frenzy of excitement and ideas on the new games land and other details. More information about new Pokemon and another game information is said to be released on June 2.

Rowlet is a cute little owl Pokemon that has it’s fair share of new abilities and design concepts. He seems like a harmless puffy owl, but his attacks seem to be very aggressive. He is able to throw leaves that are grown next to its wing feathers at an enemy. This leaf attack appears to be a new attack for this game series. Many fan thoughts have the little Pokemon evolving into a large fighting type creature. It would make some sense since some of the previous generation Pokemon did this same thing as well.

Litten seems to be the fan favorite so far. This may be due to the fact that it is very kitten-like or that because fire is a very popular type for starters. I personally love Litten and cannot wait to see what it evolves into and how it battles. The main fire ability explained so far appears to be flaming hairballs created by the kitten's fur that works as a fire starter for the Pokemon. It has been said that the evolution of Litten will be dark/fire or fire/fighting type. This, of course, cannot be confirmed until Nintendo releases more information or the game is played.

Popplio has the potential to be a popular choice as a starter as well. The information released on him so far have proven that he will be a strong fighter in battle. A speedy Pokemon in the water with specialized water moves involving bubbles along with other water abilities can make him a challenging Pokemon to battle. It will be very interesting to see how a seal-like Pokemon will battle on land and against land-based Pokemon. He may easily become a water based trainers go-to if he performs like the information states that he will.

It will be very exciting to see how Sun and Moon will play compared to games that have been released before. The games are said to be released around the holidays in 2016. Until then Pokemon fans all over the world will wait with pure excitement until the release. I personally cannot wait to claim my own Litten and let the sparks fly in battle.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
