So in case you did not know, an app called Pokemon Go has become pretty popular over the past couple of weeks. It's kind of like a virtual geocaching, Pokemon style. It has lead to many adventures, people trespassing, injuries, arrests and one man even fell off a cliff. In my mind, I honestly think that the makers of this app did not know what they were getting into when they created this app. So here are a few things you could go get/go do instead of playing Pokemon Go.
1. Go get food
I just really love food, so that is why I decided to make this the first thing on the list. There's no limit to the amount of cheap, good but probably not so good for you food out there. There's the McPick 2 menu, a Cookout try for $4.99, and even a large pizza for $5. And if none of those are available in your area, you can always hit a home run with chicken nuggets.
2. Read a book
This may not be a very popular choice but I decided to mention it anyways. We all get way too caught up on technology, we can all benefit from reading a good book every once and a while.
3. Go visit a historical site in your town.
Just about every town out there, large or small, has a historical side to it. Our towns all have so much history in them. Why should we waste it? This country is amazing, and it has so much amazing history. Take advantage of it. These historical sites are often free... even better.
4. Listen to music
5. Workout

6. Go get a comfy blanket and nap.
I mean, who does not love naps? You may wake up in two hours or you may wake up in six years. Keep life adventurous.
7. Watch a good movie
A good movie will never let you down. Watch an old favorite or take a chance on something new. You never know, you may find another favorite to add to the list.
8. Spend time with family.
A lot of families are actually classifying Pokemon Go as an opportunity to spend time together... and I guess in some ways it can be a fun outing, but adults are getting way too caught up in all of this.
9. Go shopping

10. Call your grandparents
Grandparents are wonderful beings. They have all the knowledge that we do not have yet from life experiences, and they are always willing to share it. I promise you, it would make your grandparents' day if you just picked up the phone to see how they were doing.
11. Study
This is probably what you are putting off doing, but really just bite the bullet and study. It will all be totally worth it in the long run.
12. Netflix binge
I know this one is probably not very productive, but it is Netflix (do I really need to explain myself.)
13. Take a few selfies
Serious selfies, goofy selfies, smiling selfies, snapchat selfies. All selfies are welcome.
14. Spend some one on one time with a good friend.
We all get really busy and caught up in our own lives. I do not think we realize that we leave friends and family behind in the process. Spend some one on one time with a good friend, no phones allowed. You will thank me later.
15. Play a board game
I guess you could say this is just the old fashioned version of "apps". But hey, board games and card games are super fun. I promise.
I just have not jumped on this whole Pokemon bandwagon yet, honestly I feel like I should be in the year 2000 watching everyone walk around with there GAMEBOY Color. There is nothing wrong with having a little fun with this app, but please do not do anything to get yourself into any trouble in the process.
