The "Pokemon Go" Experience
Wikia

Every Saturday morning, bright and early, I rolled out of bed, still in pj's, and plopped down directly in front of our television. Weekends were not weekends if I didn't spend the majority of the time watching cartoons. Since I was a kid during the tail end of the major "Pokemon" craze, I only had a mild interest, but that didn't stop me from singing the theme song each time the show came on. With the craze of "Pokemon Go" launching, and it being widely accepted into the main stream, I've had to make some adjustments to my every day just to keep up with the "Pokemon Go" experience.

1. The Surge In Data

I almost always have the app open. I'm sure my cell carrier loves the extra money I'll be paying them.

2. A New Daily Commute

Is adding 10 minutes worth hitting two Pokestops? Yes. Yes, it is.

3. The Roller Coaster Emotions

Catch a Jigglypuff? You're ecstatic. It pops out and runs away? You're heartbroken.

4. So Many New Friends

Showed up to a cluster of Pokestops to find a group of 50 people already playing. Hi fam!

5. The Loyalty To Your Team

#teammystic

6. Your New Vocabulary

"I really just want to evolve my Lickitung so I cant take over this Gym but I'm out of Pokeballs and need to hit a few more Pokestops. Oh, look, a Snorlax and a Weepinbell!"

7. Consistently Hitting Your Step Goal

How else are you gonna get those eggs to hatch?

8. The Continuous Judgement

Please continue to post on Facebook about how people need to get out from behind their screens. Please.

9. Your New Life Goal

"I'm gonna be the very best, the best there ever was." #pokemaster

10. Finally Investing In a Battery Pack

There is no way my phone is dying in the middle of me catching this Charmander.

11. Finding Your Favorite Pokemon

Pikachu is for nubs. Psyduck is where its at.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
