Poetry On Odyssey: Solace

When my heart feels cold

And my soul begins to quake and shiver

May I turn to the only one with everlasting warmth

That I may be wrapped in blankets of his boundless love

May I turn to Jesus for my security

For I could only find true refuge in him

The Lord is my solace

May I cease looking for comforts elsewhere

For the things of this world will never cease to make me feel cold and empty

My God is with me always, wherever I may go

He loves me and always pursues me

A kind of relationship I could never discover in this world

Lord, let this poem be my prayer to you

Hold onto me

I will keep striving to hold tighter to you
