Poetry on Odyssey: Whoever You Are, I Cannot Wait To Meet You

Our paths will cross one day, and oh, how ready I am to collide with you.

Who will you be?

Will you be a rose, with delicate petals, that bend at even the slightest breeze? Will you be radiant, soaking in every ounce of sunlight that hits you, and emitting it again with your beauty?

Will you be a mighty oak, with a sturdy foundation and roots deeply embedded in the earth, connected to your beginning? Will you be humble, and provide shade and protection to your visitors, wherever they come from, whoever they may be?

Will you be an eagle, soaring anywhere your soul guides you, following your own path and never trailing behind? Knowing your worth and never reaching below it?

Who will you be?

Will you have skin like beautiful caramel, perfectly crafted from the finest ingredients, hand-made with love into the perfect shape, ready to be adored by those who choose to experience your perfection?

Will you be a porcelain figure, with skin as smooth as glass and a perfect glow? Will you be a pearl, rare, yet desired by many?

Will you be a bronze rich wonder, with skin that glistens in the sun like gold, radiating the sun's magnificent intensity on every inch of your indefectible face?

Who will you be?

Will your hair be the waves of the ocean, taking all of your sailors on a great expedition everywhere you travel? Will they sail your way through it all — every tip, every wave, every storm?

Will your eyes be my window, allowing me to see your joy, your pain, your strength, your compassion? Will they be my mirror, showing me my innermost self through you?

Will our souls converge with enough intensity to knock me into another universe, one where we share two bodies, but one spirit?

Will you be an hourglass, a creature of time, detained by "then" and "now," focused, but never free?

Who will you be?

Will you speak of joy, sadness, fear, or love? Will your words fill a page more vividly than any picture?

Will you be a song?

Will you be poetry?

Or are you fiction — a mere figment of my imagination?

Who will you be?

Will you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders, or will the Universe lift you into the sky for all of creation to awe in amazement and wonder?

Will you ride Apollo's chariot across the sky with a glow so strong, so fierce that no one can gaze upon you without melting?

Will you soar with Artemis, bringing about a glow of light in the darkness of night, bringing guidance, vision and hope?

Who will you be?

We have never met, but I can see you. I can see your elegance. I can feel your embrace. I can touch your majestic face.

Our paths will cross one day. Oh, how ready I am to collide with you.

I know you're out there watching over me, waiting until we are ready. I am ready for you. Come and find me. I cannot wait to embrace you for all that you are.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
