Usually, when you think about vacation, your mind probably wonders to thoughts of the beach or maybe a trip to one of your favorite amusement parks. However, the best place to vacation is actually the desert.

This probably sounds crazy. Staying overnight in a hot, dry, sand covered location? Doesn't sound ideal. However, deserts are home to some of the most beautiful resorts around, and you'd actually be surprised at the number of activities offered there.

Here is a look into 6 of the most popular desert resorts around:

1. Amangiri
