Whether it be a long night of studying or a craving for good food on a weekend night, there is one restaurant that takes care of everyone. Between their delicious, well-made cuisine and creative menu, Pizza Shuttle has my business until I move too far away to order there.
The real beauty of this Italian restaurant is their hours and the fact that no matter the time you order, you can get their food delivered. Open until 2:00 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until 3:00 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, this gem of a food establishment is ready to take care of you almost any hour of the day or night. Anytime I get hungry after one in the morning, I know a call to these guys will result in quick delivery of well-made food.
While you can't go wrong with a good old-fashioned pizza, their menu has a few additional items that I can no longer live without. The first is the cheesy bread. Already legendary, this appetizer offers baked and flavorful bread topped with a thick layer of toasted melty cheese for under $6. It comes with marinara sauce on the side for those who want it to taste more like pizza. This appetizer option is a favorite well-loved by Pizza Shuttle addicts.
For those calzone lovers out there, give Pizza Shuttle's hot mozzarella pockets a go. This option is under $5 and offers the most bang for your buck. Pockets can be ordered with a plethora of different fillings (an additional 47 cents each) allowing you to customize the pocket to your personal preference. They also come with the choice of ranch, butter garlic or marinara sauce.
For those who are a little more adventurous and cannot resist a well-made pasta, go for the chicken Alfredo pasta. This dish is addicting, and the serving size is always enough for leftovers. On top of the already delicious pasta, sauce and chicken, you have the choice of adding zucchini, broccoli or spinach. The first time I ordered it, I was wary, unsure how a late night pizza place would succeed with pasta to go, but it is my all-time favorite thing to order now. The vegetables are always fresh and the pasta, sauce and chicken taste better than some gourmet restaurants I've ordered this dish from.
If none of these options thus far have seemed appealing, worry not. Pizza Shuttle has something for everyone, including hot and cold subs, wings, desserts, drinks, and even spuds and chili pies. This late-night favorite is more than a quick delivery past 1:00 a.m., it is a well-prepared and reasonably priced option for those looking to spend a little for a lot. Pizza Shuttle does what most restaurants can't — provide quantity and quality at affordable prices. So next time you find yourself hungry after midnight, give Taco Bell and Whataburger a break, and go for the Shuttle. I promise you will not regret it.
