If you are planning a trip to the Windy City you have to stop at these five places for pizza only. There is nothing better than Chicago pizza and the five restaurants listed below truly hold the meaning of perfection. Each place has their own twist on this American meal. Winning multiple awards combined, these restaurants will never disappoint. From deep-dish to thin crust, there is a type of pizza for anyone traveling to Chicago.

1. Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

Know for their Chicago-style pizza, this restaurant has a full menu to choose from. You name it and they have it. Opened in 1971, Lou Malnati's has many years of experience making award-winning pizzas.

2. Giordano’s

Looking for stuffed pizza? Look no further because Giordano's is the place for you. Starting in Italy with Mama Giordano, this restaurant has become a major tourist attraction in Chicago because of their epic dishes.

3. Uno's Pizzeria & Grill

Founded in 1943, Uno's is famous for their delicious and bold favors. An entire menu filled with appetizing salads, pastas, steaks, pizzas and seafood options, Uno's is always a good choice.

4. Gino’s East of Chicago

In 1966 this iconic restaurant was started with two taxi drivers who decided there needed to be more pizza places in the city. Serving pizza, pasta and many other Italian meals is their specialty. There are many different locations in Chicago which makes it accessible for everybody.

5. Georgio's Chicago Pizzeria & Pub

Let's take a trip an hour north of the city to try some amazing pizza. Authentic Chicago-style pizza, thick and thin, can be found here along with the Mount St. Georgio dessert. A great family restaurant and my personal favorite.
