To the girls who do not like hair on the walls of your shower, hair balls in your brush, or never having a hair-tie when you need it, this is for you: short hair. This is where it’s at. Come on ladies, why wouldn’t you want to lose three pounds in 15 minutes?

The immediate satisfaction of cutting your hair is the equivalent of taking off your bra at the end of the day, throwing on PJs, sitting down to a bowl of popcorn, and watching Netflix. To those with long hair, I do understand your attachment (pun intended), but it’s time to cut loose.

Messy buns? What about messy pixies? Punk rock? Or Sweet and sassy?

Pixies are the perfect hair style. Audrey Hepburn's classic, timeless photos are all we really need to convince us.

However, there are those who say, “Pixies don’t look good on girls with (enter face shape here).”

This statement is a segue people use to see what others think. If you want to cut your hair short, cut your hair short, regardless of what others think. Any uncertainty you may have is only defined by the amount of confidence you present yourself with. You will not know how it looks until you do it.

Feel good, look good.

It may be easier said than done, but I truly believe that confidence is the sexiest, most beautiful accessory you can have. Walk around radiant and positive, and even if you don’t necessarily feel that way at first fake it till you make it. Carrying around positive vibes can eventually make you feel that way for real.

A haircut is also a beautiful way to make a change. A bad breakup can leave you feeling empty, crumbling and overwhelmed. These feelings eat away at you, and are not something you want to host for long. A mourning period is needed, and with time comes healing. Once you start healing a change is just the spontaneous spark that you desperately need to get your fire going again. Some girls buy an outrageous outfit, some try a new hobby, and some get haircuts!

To the girls who think, “I want to cut my hair short, but what if it doesn’t look good? Or what if no one likes it?”

Well that’s the beauty of hair! It grows back. If you don’t like it then grow it back out. If other people don’t like it then who cares? It’s your hair and I bet you look fabulous. Do your research and you’ll discover that people of all different colors, nationalities, hair types, hair color, and face shape can rock short hair.

Here are some examples of killer cuts and stunning woman:

Pixies are for all types of woman. Don't be afraid to cut it off and be yourself.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
