You may be wondering why all of a sudden October 1st came around and you see the color pink everywhere. Pink at every restaurant you go to, pink at every sporting event you watch, pink pink pink pink.
Well there is a very good reason behind this, Breast Cancer. This horrible illness that has taken the lives of so many. This is the one month out of the year that society uses to spread awareness and raise funds for research and those who need assistance paying the medical bills. More so than raising money, it is crucial that we raise awareness. Ladies it is never too soon to get checked out. There is no age limit to when you can be diagnosed with breast cancer. There are two way to look for symptoms.
1. Ask your primary doctor for a mammogram.
Although it is more common for women to get breast cancer between the ages of 50-74, it does not mean that you can't get it sooner. It is never to early to get checked out. However mammograms are not cheep and I know that. The American Cancer Society offers free mammograms. And if you just do some research there are thousands of other foundations that offer free mammograms.

2. Check yourself.
I'm not saying you have to check every single day, but once in a while look for any indications that there may be something wrong. Above some instructions.
I know that there are women out there who refuse to get checked out. Maybe because their scared for the results. Maybe they just want to live out their life not knowing that their sick. To be completely blunt; stop being selfish. You all have people that love and care for you. It is not fair to not give your self the chance for options. If breast cancer is caught on time there are bigger chances for a healthy and speedy recovery.
Lastly: To all my breast cancer survivors and all my ladies who are currently going through this, you are all the bravest soles this world will ever encounter.
