This weeks article is about weird food combinations that people eat. I decided to write it because I have many friends and family who eat these strange things. Not all are weird to me but most are. Let me know what you think about these foods.

1. French Fries and Ice Cream

Many people think this first combo is gross. This is one of the few that I enjoy. Fries and ice cream rock. Try it.

2. White Bread, Sweet Pickles, and Pringles

My roommate's mom said that one of the weird things she ate as a little girl was pickles, bread, and Pringles. She could crush up the Pringles and sprinkle them on the bread and pickles. Hearing this it was obvious it needed to go on the list. Would you eat this?

3. Pickles and Peanut Butter

Is this actually good? I know a lot of women whom are pregnant eat this but to me this sounds awful. I can not imagine this ever being good.

4. Tartar Sauce on a Hotdog

My roommate makes fun of me for eating this but to be honest I love it. It is basically mayo, pickles, and a hotdog. Who else likes this? I cannot be the only crazy one.

5. Manwich With No Meat

This past week we had a friend stay with us and he planned on just eating the stuff in the can. No meat. Luckily he left here before he could.

6. Ketchup and Eggs

This combo is not a thing that I can get behind. I am sorry, but Gross.

7. Peanut Butter on a Hamburger

When I was looking this up, this is an actual thing. It made it on this list because one of my other roommates said that one of her old bosses ate this on a daily basis. Is it a good thing? It is weird in my opinion.

8. Peas in Macaroni and Cheese

My roommates put peas in their mac and cheese. Peas are soiling this delicious food. Do not do it. Remove your peas.

9. Pineapple on Pizza

This combo is simple to describe, gross. Fruit does not go on cooked pizza.

10. Reeses and Mayo

This combo is something I have not tried, but my brother swears by it. He says it is amazingly good. He suggests to leave the mayo out and wait for it to be at room temperature before applying it to the Reeses. I will let you all be the judge of this.

11. Kix Cereal in Chocolate Malt-O-Meal

Once again this is a roommate thing. She loves it and swears by it. I think it is awful. You can be the judge of it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
