Many of us have those furry creatures running around the house. Maybe some of you even have little scaly ones sitting in a cage somewhere. Whatever shape or form they come in, it doesn't matter because they are more than just our pets and we all know it. We have seen how ridiculously obsessive some people can become over their pets, throwing them birthday parties, buying them clothes, furniture, toys, etc. They deserve it though, don't you think? They love us undoubtedly and maybe that is just because they don't know any better, but they never let us down. So from one of the many obsessive pet owners on this planet I want to,

Thank you for letting me talk to you in a ridiculous baby voice, even though you probably never fully knew what I was saying.

Thank you for letting me dress you up in ridiculous clothing.

Thank you for letting me cuddle you into oblivion when I was upset.

Thank you for being there to wake me up when my alarm wouldn't.

Thank you for being the least demanding person in my life.

Thank you for being the emotional support in our relationship.

Thank you for always being in a good mood no matter what mood I was in.

Thank you for watching endless TV marathons with me on my days off.

Thank you for always being there when I came home from long days at work.

Thank you for eating the food that I sometimes dropped on the floor so I wouldn't have to clean it up.

Thank you for always letting me know when there was someone at the door, or when the mail came.

Thank you for loving me unconditionally.

And...

Thank you for being the best part of my life.

These little furry, slimy, scaly, and prickly animals that we keep are more than just pets. They are a part of our everyday lives and we should try to thank them for being there even when they make a mess by peeing on the floor or ripping through the trash basket. We should always remember that they are just a short part of our lives but we are all of their life and they choose to be there for us every day. So thank you to the little and big creatures out there for just being you.
