Very few people in the world don't struggle with their insecurities, they are something we all face every day.
For some, their insecurities control their life. Some people won't wear shorts even if it's one hundred degrees out because they don't like their calves or some won't speak to people unless they know them well in fear of others thoughts about them. Everything is affected by a person's insecurities, dreams are crushed and futures are affected. All these insecurities become suffocating, but they don't have to be. Give your insecurities a face and fully understand what you are actually trying to overcome.
Most insecurities, especially those that hide inside the most self-aware people, don't go away, but they are defeatable to the point where they won't affect your day-to-day life. They do not define who you are, never let them take over your mind. Fight them until content enough to live your life to its fullest ability. Whether your main insecurities are emotional, physical or mental they can all be fought. Giving into your insecurities is not shameful, it's common, but it won't derail your life.
Even if your insecurities have gotten the best of you, fake your own confidence, even though you may not feel confident, others will think you are and will treat you like a confident person and that will help you flourish in your own creation. Confidence is not considered a cover-up for your insecurities but other cover ups like arrogance, rudeness and bullying, all of those are so much more harmful than your insecurities themselves. Using confidence to foreshadow the reluctances you have about yourself is far from harmful, it will teach you and tell you how much you are worth in your own life. A person's insecurities will never define them.
