We've had a lot of rainy days lately where I live. I was surprised to see the sun out today! Do you like rainy days? What do you usually like to do when it rains? Personally, I'm not a fan of rainy days for a few reasons. I'm not a fan of humidity so when it's rainy and humid, I'm just completely over it! I'm always straightening my hair so straightened hair and rain usually don't end well. Add some humidity to the mix and it's even worse! Second, rain makes me just want to stay inside. If I wake up and it's raining, it feels even harder to find some kind of motivation to get up. Best believe if I don't have school or work, I will not go outside on a rainy day haha. Then, I don't know if it's just me but it's always hard for me to find something to wear on a rainy day, especially when it comes to choosing which shoes to wear. I don't want to go out in rain boots and an hour later it stops raining all together. I'll look silly especially if I'm far from home and can't go back to switch my shoes. This has happened to me a few times so I know the situation all too well. Yet, I only have a couple other shoes that are good to wear out in the rain so that limits my outfit choices since I want my outfit have to match with my shoes. The struggle is definitely real when it rains.

Well back to the point of this article. The actual reason why you clicked on my article. What to do on a rainy day? I have a few suggestions for you!

Sleep!

A rainy day is a perfect day to catch some Z's! The sound of rain is so relaxing making it easy to fall asleep. Why leave your comfortable bed only to get soaked in the rain? You shouldn't have any problems going back to sleep, especially if it's so gloomy out.

Binge Watch TV Shows and Movies

There's no better way to kill some time than binge watching! Why not take the day to start that show you've always wanted to watch? Catch up on your shows or start a movie marathon. What is binge watching without some snacks? This is why it's important to have a stash of snacks always ready. This gif pretty much sums up binge watching. If the shows/movies are that good, you don't realize how much time has went by until it's the middle of the night and you realize you went too far.

Get Some Errands Done

If you insist on leaving the house, I guess you could get some errands done. Target is always a good idea. Maybe there won't be as many people out since the weather is best out. With less people outside, less traffic and shorter lines in stores of course. Definitely something to consider!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
