To the person who is walking through the storms of life,

Your beautiful mind is getting tangled up and twisted together creating a knot of confusion and frustration inside of you. The battle between your heart and your mind is raging like the sea under a hurricane.

You feel unsteady, but you, my dearest, are right where you are supposed to be. Do not be weary of what is to come or what has come already, because there is no use in creating another storm to help put the pieces back in place. Your wonderful heart beats so freely to an unsung melody, yet I hear its song. How fragile a heart is, and you would know. It is not shattered, it is just beating to a different song, still beautiful in itself.

Your soul is a mesmerizing fountain of joy. It speaks life to those who are broken and in need of a light. You may think you are blind, but it is just a fog that is hovering in front of your beautiful stained glass eyes. The words you speak are like medicine to the sick. They pour out like a delicate poem and capture hearts in their grasp.

You beautiful creation, why do you weep? Why do you curse the wind? Don’t you know who made you? Breathe deep the blessings all around you. Let them flow through you like the blood in your veins. Let hope restore your heart and peace flood your mind. Do not be afraid. Fear is a liar. Fear creeps into the cracks of a broken heart and expands like ice. Fear poisons the soul and creates a wicked heart that pumps acid through the body.

Although the waters are high, the power to stay afloat is within you. Reach out and touch the cold waters and turn them warm. Look up and feel the wind on your face and turn it into a breeze. Lift up your head and see the world in front of you, and watch it turn into a majesty of brightness and joy. Plant flowers inside of yourself and watch them bloom into something beautiful.

Let your colors emulate like the sun’s rays. Create a colorful bliss and obtain it. Step into your blessings. Breathe in the beauty. Live again.

You are a masterpiece.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
