After telling somebody I go to school in Wisconsin, the most frequent question I get is, "Isn't it really cold out there? Like, really cold?" I'm not going to deny it, it can get bitterly cold out here, especially in Madison. In fact, when the temperature is double digits, it's a blessing, and when it's above 30 degrees, it's already a great day. However, there are so many perks of going to a cold school that make the few, freezing months a bit bearable.
1. You don't have to say goodbye to your favorite, oversized, outworn sweatshirt.

2. You don't have to deal with your legs sticking to your chair year round.
3. Nothing is better than walking outside and seeing fresh snow.
4. Uggs. They may be heinous, but they're definitely the most comfortable shoes you own.
5. It's much easier to shop when you aren't looking for summer clothes year round.
6. You don't feel as guilty when you eat the extra slice of pizza at 2 a.m.
7. You really don't feel guilty, so you go ahead and order the cookies too.
8. You don't have to say goodbye to seasons. Who wants one season all year round?
9. Nothing beats walking on the frozen lake.
10. What's a sweat stain?
11. Looking forward to the first day of spring (AKA countdown till "Darty Season")
12. Sledding down Bascom Hill
