Don't get me wrong, it's always good to have your girls. But having guys as your best friends is truly the greatest thing ever for these reasons and many many more.
1. ADVICE ADVICE ADVICE
Who better to get guy advice from than an actual guy? And vice versa! Doesn't it just make you feel a little better knowing that there are guys out there who are getting their girl advice from someone who knows what they're talking about?
2. You never have to eat alone
Secondly, they are always and I mean ALWAYS down to get food. Any time, day or night, I can guarantee if you send a text in the group chat asking anyone if they're hungry, someone is.
3. They're usually down to sit around and do nothing (aka play Fortnite)
Sometimes you're just not in the mood to go to the mall or the movies or really do anything at all. Good thing you can hit up one of the guys and sit around and play Fortnite (or observe Fortnite). Or just sit around and do absolutely nothing.
4. Substantially less drama
Yes boys have feelings, but they sure are a hell of a lot less dramatic about showing them. This one may just be me but I am not a big "feelings" type of person. Sometimes it's just nice to have someone who hates talking about their emotions and loves avoiding drama just as much as you do.
5. Being "one of the boys"
I know I know, being "one of the boys" is a bad thing right? WRONG!!! I couldn't be more grateful to have the group of guys that I have as my friends. Nothing makes me laugh harder than half the nonsense that comes out of their mouths. Yes, sometimes you do have to remind them that you are indeed still a girl and some things they really should just keep between the guys, but most of the time, being "one of the boys" is pretty great.
6. They call you out on your shit
Arguably the greatest thing about being close with a group of guys is there's no beating around the bush when it comes to your best interest. They are truly looking out for you when they tell you not to go for that guy or that you're being overdramatic in a fight with your friend. Yes sometimes they can be harsh but they usually end up giving pretty sound advice.
