If you personally know me than you already know that I am a perfectionist. It is a trait of mine that is becoming true more today than ever before. And it is annoying. But that’s not always a bad thing. Because I am guilty of wanting everything to be perfect, I think that could be a reason why everything goes south when I try to make my life perfect. Because here’s the kicker, life is not meant to be perfect. If life was perfect then we would not need Jesus. We live in a world where everything and everyone does their own thing. We are expected to live a certain way and obtain a certain lifestyle depending on how we were raised. And it simply causes chaos. But God’s plan for our life will always be better than the plan that we have mapped out in our head. The reason why things do not go like we want them too is not because God does not like our plan but because we are not allowing God to take full control over every single detail of our life. God's plan for our life will always be better. Here lately, I have learned that it is okay if something does not go exactly how I want it too, because I am not meant to be perfect. God is so good and he has a beautiful plan for every single person on this planet. Our goal in life should never be perfection, but to realize that God has a perfect plan for our life. The sooner we realize that perfection is not necessary, the sooner we will achieve happiness.
