If Trump Is Impeached, Pence Won't Be Any Better

Wanting Trump to be impeached without thinking about Pence is like covering a bullet wound with a band-aid.

With Trump's many misleadings, America is becoming fed up with the newly elected president. With all the president's failings, many want President Trump to be impeached. But is this the solution to America's growing financial and political problems? Is Mike Pence any better than Trump?

I'm sure Pence would be more cordial and professional, but that doesn't erase the fact that Pence proposes the LGBTQ population go through shock therapy. This also doesn't negate the fact that Pence agrees with many of Trump's original stances on issues like reproductive rights, immigration laws, the debt crisis etc. I don't think Trump's impeachment is even close to being the answer to all of our problems.

The House of Representatives is also rampant with like-minded individuals. The problem is not who represents us as a country, but rather the behaviors we have allowed to breed. Racial tension and lack of care for issues like reproductive rights and the LGBTQ community have caused us to get here. Many Americans don't want to think about that though because it's much simpler to think the problem is an anomaly rather than a symptom.

This means that America would need to go through a rather drastic change. Unfortunately, the bar is slowly lowering as we go through the Trump presidency. People are even beginning to reminisce Bush's presidency as if the Bush Administration was not a failure. This lack of memory is dangerous because we are slowly normalizing bad political stances. Pence's homophobic policies are being over looked because "at least he's not Trump right?"

I would definitley call this a bad take. Instead of focusing on presidential behavior, citizens must also think about policies and the dangers of cutting things such as healthcare and education. We shouldn't be praying to have Bush back because we won't be laughed at by countries across the globe. The focus is very superficial and will evantually cause even more danger to minority communities. Rather than asking for a president that will sugar coat they're dangerous beliefs, people should be looking for politicians that care about the community and will do what needs to be done. Right now, too many of us are looking for a band-aid to cover a bullet wound.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
