Have you ever been in a tough situation, or even multiple tough situations, and wonder: "God, where are You?" or "God, why are You putting me through this?" or "God, please reveal Yourself. Show me that You are here... that You haven't left me."? Well, I'll be the first to say that I know I have. I've been in this very position a lot in the past couple of months... just wondering if God was still with me. I kept wondering why God was putting me through the things that He was. I kept telling myself, though, that everyone has a purpose, and there is a purpose for everything that happens, and it all happens for a reason. I had to keep reminding myself that God is still here with me, that He says He will never leave us... I just had to finally pay attention to the signs that He was showing me, and after that, things started becoming more clear to me. He really is with us ALL THE TIME.
He says in Hebrews 13:5, "Never will I leave you; nor will I forsake you."
When I read that, it hit me pretty hard. I knew that He doesn't leave us, but in the moment, I was worried about the situation and not focusing and paying attention to Him.
Y'all, God puts us through trials and tribulations all the time. He clearly says in John 16:33, "In this world, you will have trouble but take heart! I have overcome the world." How awesome is it that our Father takes control of our troubles, and doesn't leave us?! He could seriously make us go through these trials and tribulations and not help us at all, and He could even leave us. But He doesn't! He will NEVER leave me, you, or anyone else! He has a purpose for each of us, and He's going to stick by our side and help us find out purpose, I promise!
Don't give up in life. Find your purpose! Let God reveal Himself to you - just make sure you are focusing and paying attention to Him!
Soaking in the memory of what God revealed to us on the mountain will remind us of our purpose in the valley.
