It was just recently that world famous performer Paul McCartney was interviewed on BBC Radio 4's show "Mastertapes," discussing his career as life a musician. The former Beatles singer spoke of the times he had in his early career, along with talking about some of his recent work with modern-day performers, such as Kanye West. In fact, Paul revealed a secret about "All Day," a single off of Kanye's latest album "The Life Of Pablo" and how the song was almost not released to the public because of disapproval of the two musicians recording together from Oprah Winfrey.
Apparently Oprah had been rooting against Paul working with Kanye because of his provocative language and usage of the "n-word." Paul said, "People like Oprah, who's a little conservative about that stuff, said, ‘you shouldn't do it, even black people shouldn't use that word.' I said, ‘Yeah, but it's Kanye!'"
From then on the British musician gave his honest opinion about Kanye and his lyrics, telling that his urban approach is reaching out to a different audience; "I love Kanye, and he loves me. He's a monster -- he's a crazy guy who comes up with great stuff, so he inspires me."
Luckily for the fans, the two musicians looked past Oprah and her disapproval and the song was released.
