My childhood was full of prophesies and the idea of following one’s destiny. I grew up alongside the ancient heroes of Greek mythology, fascinated by the stories and characters. Naturally today I still carry a flicker of hope that we are fated to find our purpose, much like Theseus escorted by his string in the labyrinth.
Destiny is the shopping list of life, for every soul born they are given quests to complete, one may go through different aisles to get they but in the end they have to buy something. We are powerless against the Fates. Although not all you do is for naught, for one’s fortune is not completely out of your control, fates can change and be rewritten but must always follow a path. If you decide to change, it will already be written into your life. The end result of one’s soul is already whispered by the universe and its secret will divulge itself to you in time. If you feel lost or uncertain know that you will find what you are looking for because destiny will lead you to it, do not fret about the small things for what is to come has already been decided. Fate is not a dictator of your life instead it is more like a guarantee that something will happen, that you are here for a reason. Not one person has ever been or will ever be unimportant. We are all here today for a reason, you are here for a reason. Sometimes the world can feel overwhelming, like its asking too much of you. It is terrifying to think that you alone must carry a purpose, it can be a burden but know that it is a task made for you and you alone. Just know that you can accomplish anything be it big or small.
We as human beings are creatures of creation, we create and destroy every second, our brains are a constant storm of ideas. We are made from clay but filled with fire, our desires ignite our very being until we have no choice but to follow them. That is fate, it is what your soul itself craves. It is your passion that drives you to be who you are; to be the person you want to be. Destiny will not force you to conform to something that you don’t want to do, your fate is a part of you, it was written by the star that broke apart to fashion your spirit. One should never be forced to do something if they object and fate is not meant to force but to guide. It is a reassurance that you are here, alive and important. A final word of warning on fate: we cannot take it for granted. If we just accept life as it is with no ambition we will never continue to accomplish amazing feats of splendor, so as humans we must continue to try our best to and follow our path to greatness. Rest assured that wherever you are in life, you are just where you
