We all know that Parks and Recreation is the best show ever, but how do we rank Parks and Rec's well known (and super fun) holidays? It's super easy to know which holidays you need to celebrate with the Definitive Rankings of the Best Parks and Recreation Holidays!

6. Li’l Sebastian’s Birthday

The day that gave us the greatest mini horse ever. Beloved by all residents of Pawnee, eighth most photographed thing in America (beating out the Alamo), and has an honorary degree from Notre Dame. Also, Li’l Sebastian’s death was the only event that made Ron Swanson cry, besides when he was seven and hit by a school bus. Long live Li’l Sebastian.

5. Ann’s Birthday - July 20

Leslie’s best friend’s birthday! Gave rise to some of the BEST parties in Parks and Rec history (including a party of every holiday that Ann and Leslie would celebrate). And, without Anne, we wouldn’t have Leslie and Ann’s best friendship!!!

4. Leslie Knope’s Birthday - January 18

Without Leslie Knope we wouldn’t even have Parks and Rec (i.e. the best show ever), so her birthday is obviously going to make this list. She’s the ultimate gal pal and role model, Leslie preaches girl power is passionate about everything she does, and makes sure everyone is enjoying their time working for the Department of Parks and Recreation. She gave us Galentine’s Day, and makes sure every celebration is perfect.

3. Treat Yo Self Beverly Hills 2017 - October 13

The best day of the year! This is when Tom and Donna celebrated Donna’s engagement (and upcoming wedding), and the last Treat Yo Self Day on Rodeo Drive. Though it is a fabulous holiday and they got to eat at a celebrity restaurant, it is cut short by Tom’s struggle to ask out Lucy, and thus cannot be #1.

2. Galentine’s Day - February 13

A breakfast holiday that takes place on February 13th to celebrate all of your gal pals! Like Lilith Fair, minus the angst, plus frittatas! Leslie even made mosaics of each of her gal pal’s faces using their favorite diet soda bottles and wrote each of her friends a 5,000 word essay on why they’re amazing. A wholesome holiday for wholesome gals.

1. Treat Yo Self 2011 - October 13

The best day of the year! A day created by Donna and Tom to treat themselves to clothes, mimosas, fragrances, and fine leather goods. The best holiday in Parks and Rec history because it not only has its own theme song but has also been celebrated with a Batman costume. Ranked #1 because it’s the first and involves a velvet-cashmere candy cane.

Congratulations! Now you can celebrate all of the best Parks and Recreation holidays in a timely manner! Perfect for your future Treat Yo Self and Galentine's Day celebrations!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
