Just when I thought my favorite band of all time would be breaking up, wonderful news emerged for us Paramore fans. The band went from a threesome, to duo, to now a threesome--with former drummer Zac Farro rejoining the band.
Farro and his brother Josh left the band back in 2010, but Zac will be returning for the fifth new album Paramore will be putting out this year. The news about Farro rejoining the band broke on Feb. 2nd, when the band released a new shirt in their online store, with a childhood picture of Farro on the front called "I'm Back."
Initially Farro was rumored just to provide drumming for the upcoming album but from the release of this new t-shirt, it seems like Farro will be rejoining the band as a full-time member once again. Paramore hasn't officially released a statement about Farro rejoining the band, expect for a picture titled "Tres" on Hayley Williams' twitter, but it's clear he's back
Paramore hasn't officially announced the release date of the fifth album, but another recent tweet from Williams gives Paramore fans a bit of an idea of how far along the band is from the completion of the album.
A fan asked about the progress of the album, and Williams responded with "91%." This means the band is getting closer to the completion of the album, which many of us Paramore fans are highly anticipating.
It will be interesting to see what direction the band takes with the new album, especially since the band's bassist Jeremey Davis left the band in 2015, right before their second ParaHoy cruise.
The band took a slightly different turn with their last album, the "Self-Entitled" album, adding more pop elements to their music than fans were used to. I thoroughly enjoyed the album, and saw them in concert when they promoted that album. I really look forward to the new music Paramore will create because of the loss and gain of members.
Whatever direction the band decides to go in, I'm sure I will enjoy it, since I have been a die-hard Paramore fan for several years now. I am just glad that the band continues to make music and is even bringing old members back, who knows where the fate of the band will end up the next few years.
But as of now, Paramore is still a band.
