Why Paragon Flight School Is The Best Flight School
Nicole Weber

Paragon flight School is located in Fort Myers, Florida at KFMY. In 2014 we were voted AOPA's "Best Flight School in America", in 2015 we were voted "President's Choice", recently in 2016 we voted "Student Choice Award" all presented by AOPA. You may be wondering what the "hype" is with us, allow me to explain. *smiley face*

There is never a bad time of the year to fly since we are surrounded by beautiful water and breath-taking scenery all year round. Living in the Sunshine State the weather is always happy unless you are here during the rainy season in the summer and you don’t get to fly before 4PM.

That is not the only reason why Paragon is the best flight school. Here we are a family. Paragon has found a way to make a friendly and professional flight school happen. I find myself referring to Paragon, as “home” not work. I never dread the morning when the alarm goes off to head to the school because I know I get to see my friends and overall have a great day.

If you date one of us, you date us all. Like I said earlier we are a family and in order to be accepted and allowed to date one of us you will probably have questions asked and go through interviews. We take our close-knit family very serious and once you are welcomed in you are here to stay. So to you all that are married, or in a relationship with one of my co-worker's congrats you now have a new daughter/sister in your family (me) yay!

We will get emotionally attached to students. Especially if you are a frequent flyer, or if you spent your entire Paragon experience living at the school. We will look back at pictures and say, “Awh, I miss them”, we love making our students feel welcomed that is something we take very seriously at Paragon. We make sure that our clients are always happy and are taken great care of.

When it is time to say goodbye to a co-worker we make sure to devote a night to them to say our final goodbyes while laughing and crying, but with more tears of laughter. Even when you are no longer with us we still have tons of memories and your pictures will show up on our slideshow screen at the front desk from time to time, reminding us of you. Here is one of our recent retirement parties, we miss you dirty chai. Enjoy this photo of us attacking Travis as we realize how much we will miss him.

OH, we have cute pets too that make appearances at the flight school from time to time.

We will always keep in touch. Through the power social media, especially Snap Chat you will never have to worry about keeping up with one another because we update each other on where we are and what we are doing all the time. I can’t wait to cross paths with you guys in the future since it is bound to happen with most of us entering the aviation world. I hope we do all end up being co-workers again some day, wouldn’t that be a blast? It would be like Paragon 2.0.

Words can only explain so much, Paragon is something you just have to experience for yourself. Click here to explore our website and call us to book your Discovery Flight today!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
