Our hands do so much for us. Without them, we wouldn't be able to do anything. That's why palm reading has always interested me. It's so interesting that there's an art that can tell me everything about myself based on every line and indentation on my hands that I use every day. I decided to do some research. Look at your dominant hand and let's get reading.

After some reading, I found the three main lines used in basic palmistry: the headline, the heart line, and the lifeline.

The headline is the deep line in the middle of your hand. If you're having trouble finding it, look at the picture above for reference. Look at your headline, if it's short and ends near the center of your palm, then you're a fast thinker and don't have a hard time coming to decision. If your line is long and straight going toward your pinkie, you have a hard time making decisions and you find yourself becoming fixated on one thing easily. If you have a line that splits in two, you are sensitive and you can easily see others perspectives. If your line is long and curved and runs towards your thumb, you're very creative and you can easily see alternative outcomes to situations.

The next line I found is the heart line. Your heart line is the highest deep line on your hand. Again, If you're having trouble finding it see the picture above. Take a look at your heart line, is it long and straight ending just below the index finger? If it is then you are a very rational person and your friends appreciate that most about you. If your heart line is short and ends around the base of the middle finger, you are reserved and prefer small groups. If your line splits in two, you tend to put others feelings and emotions ahead of your own.

The final line I focused on is the lifeline. Your life is a deeper line close to your thumb. If you're having trouble finding it, there's a picture above. If yours is long and curves to follows your thumbs shape, you are very strong and the people around you see that. If you have a faint line that might be hard to find, you tend to get too wrapped up in life and need to take a breather every once and awhile. If your lifeline is short ending towards the middle of the palm, you like to keep busy. Having work to do is comforting to you.

Palmistry is a very old way of fortune telling that has always fascinated me. I hope you enjoyed my curious research. Remember that I am not an expert and I did this for fun. Palmistry can be taken as seriously ask you'd like. I suggest doing a little more research if you're further interested.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
