OK, before you look at the title and start thinking, "Wow this girl already used the wrong form of night in her title," I have done this on purpose. I attend Neumann University, and our mascot is a Knight. So, all the events Neumann offers, I always try to make it "punny" (A pun that's funny.)

Anyways, over this past weekend, a few of my friends and I went to a "paint glow rage dance party" and it was awesome. It was sponsored by Neumann, but these two guys who have the company came up to hang out with us (play music and paint us) all the way from Pensacola Flordia!

At first, my friends and I walked in the building it was being held, and we saw a huge long black tarp covering the floor, and towards the front a huge DJ table, speakers, two guys, and lots of paint buckets. So we immediately started in with dancing that was already there.

It took them a little bit to actually start painting us, I guess they were waiting for people to get there. But when they started, they started hard. Within seconds people were already covered in paint head to toe. Here's the few from our party from the back angle.

It was so cool. The paint party was beyond awesome. They also had water guns, but substituted the water for some paint, and that's how they squirted all of us. Some students even got a whole bucket of paint on dumped on their heads! I have no idea how they handled that! Needless to say, it's the almost the third week of school, and I'm having the best semester ever.

Here are some things i've learned from a paint knight:

-If they play a good song you have to sing too, put your hand over your mouth, unless you want to eat paint.

-Still haven't found out if paint is edible, although it doesn't taste good!

-If you have to spit because you got nasty paint in your mouth, don't spit on the floor.

-If it gets in your eyes, it will burn, and don't wipe it with your shirt, because chances are your shirts already soaked.

-An emphasis, if you get it in your eyes, it's going to burn! It's the worst burn pain ever, worse than an eyelash in your eye!

-It takes a couple seconds to regain vision in your eyeballs.

-If you wear glasses, and you are blind without them, chances are your either going to get them ruined, or not be able to see the whole night, your decision.

-Don't try to "busta move." The floor is extremely slippery, you will fall and everybody will look at you.

-Don't wear jewelry-- Although, the paint is washable, I still have it in my rings, and some on my earrings.

-You're going to have to shampoo 3,4,5, or even 6 times.

-In the shower, you will turn the water going down the drain pink.

-Ladies, your hair will be equivalent to a mop. Whether you leave it up or down.

-If you try to squeegee out your hair, it will be nasty.

-When you go to wash your clothes from that night, wash them separately!

-Paint smells really bad when you leave the area, I guess you don't notice it when you're there.

Here are some picture of my friends and before and after the night!

Paint knight was awesome. I had a great time, and I can't wait to see what other event are in store for the squad.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
