Mid-December is every college student's nightmare.

With classes wrapping up, finals in full swing, and having to separate from your college friends for a month, it's not always the most wonderful time of the year.

One of the worst parts of the end of the semester is packing for winter break. You end up waiting until the last minute, packing every item of clothing you own, and trying to take home whatever you don't need at school anymore. You're weighed down by Vera Bradley duffel bags and overstuffed suitcases and your dad rolls his eyes as he sees you struggle to the car.

What better way to describe this unavoidable disaster than with everyone's favorite accountant, Kevin Malone.

When all of the sudden you're going home in 2 days and nothing has been packed

When you realize you have a ton of food left in the fridge so you take it upon yourself to eat it all so you don't have to throw it out

When you start to make a list of everything that needs to be packed and you panic about how you're going to fit all 35 of your sweaters in one bag

When your roommate is already all packed and ready and you're sitting on the floor surrounded by your clothes about to have a mental breakdown

When you can't find your suitcase

When you finally find your suitcase and it's much smaller than you remember

When you try and pack strategically to maximize your space but it's just not working so you end up throwing everything in and hoping it'll work itself out

When you've given up because you're already in ~vacation mode~

When you try and carry all of your bags to the car in one trip

When you finally make it home and can relax until you have to pack to go back to school in a few weeks

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
