This has been weighing heavily on my heart lately.
Do we wait to pursue the Lord in efforts of finding the perfect time?
Student life sucks sometimes. We forget that school should not be our #1 priority. Why? Because we are encouraged to think it should be by society and outside pressure.
As our studies continue, we find ourselves trapped between stressors. Such as school, friends, and work. Finding the balance between a healthy social life and making good grades becomes a juggle. As we encounter God's love we are reminded that our relationship with God needs priority too. But what ends up happening?
The relationship we try to build with God is placed on the back burner simply because we think we have to accomplish all our tasks for the day before we etch in our time with Him. By the end of the day we're exhausted and weary. Thus, our time with the Lord is forgotten. Tell me you relate.
So what would happen if our mindset changed and we placed God in the center of our studies, our relationships, and our life??
When we drown in homework, assignments, papers, and test, we need to remember that God gives us the strength if we just rely on Him. He will fill us with peace and comfort when we don't make the best grades and most importantly we learn to glorify Him through our studies.
When we choose to place God in the center of our relationships with people, He helps us discover our true friends. He will fill you with the Spirit and help you discern the people you choose to hang out with. He will help you build lasting relationships. He will be your true friend.
Our walk with the Lord is the most important thing we can invest in within our lifetime and it has eternal effects. There is no other life worth living than one in pursuit of God. Because it is only through Him do we find our rest, do we find true deliverance and joy, do we truly love people, only through Him are we saved.
God, your creator, your Father. Jesus, your savior, your True Friend. He died for you.
Nothing is more beautiful than finding your identity in Christ. You are worthy of the love of God.
You are loved.
How can we misplace this aspect of life to the brims of the back burner of our hearts and minds.
So I encourage you, put God in the center of your life. Don't wait for the perfect time because the perfect time is now.
