When it comes to fashion, I've been obsessed with it for as long as I could remember. I recall being a kid and seeing a bunch of fabric on the ground and making a dress just for fun. I called it my "Greek Goddess Gown" because it was white and flowy and one shoulder. Of course it was not anything too extravagant, I was just a kid, but it was in that moment when I knew that "fashion is my passion" as the Cheetah Girls would say. I love high fashion garments, gowns especially. Growing up I believe it was every girls dream to secretly be a princess of some sort, at least that was my dream. Sometimes I like to wonder about what my life would be like if I got to wear these fancy gowns all the time, and watching The Oscars fulfills that for me. The looks were better than ever this year, proving that fashion never dies, it only gets better. So here are a few looks that stood out to me. Side note, be prepared for really fancy designer names. Also, while these dresses will be way out of the price range of the average individual, it can give you some great prom dress ideas.

1. Saoirse Ronan

Seriously how stunning is this dress? Saoirse is wearing a custom Calvin Klein emerald sequence dress. So not only is this a great dress in general, but it was custom made solely for her. Apparently, according to Saoirse, it was so comfortable that it felt like sweats.. Um, please tell me where I can get a dress that looks like that but is as comfortable as sweats.

2. Naomi Watts

Naomi is definitely rocking this blue and purple gown by Armani. I love the detail of the dress from the waist down. Plus, the jewelry and the clutch just gives Naomi a complete look from head to toe.

3. Alicia Vikander

How can someone not love this dress? Alicia is wearing a Louis Vuitton dress that's made from Taffeta. I will admit, yellow is not my go to color for a dress, but it is seriously stunning. Alicia looks like the modern day version of Belle from Beauty and the Beast and I love how it's a full skirt but it still shows her feet. Super cute. Plus she ended up winning an Oscar so it's definitely a great day for Alicia Vikander.

4. Jennifer Garner

You can't go wrong with a black dress, it's impossible. Literally every single person looks good in black, and Jennifer Garner proves this point by stunning in this asymmetrical Versace dress.

5. Rachel McAdams

Lastly, who better to end the list than Rachel McAdams herself. Look at that train, it's stunning in every way possible. I don't even care how long it is or the intense possibility of tripping in this dress. I'm totally okay with it solely because of how gorgeous it is. Plus that deep green is a great color. It's a color that, similar to black, typically looks great on everyone.

So thank you, Oscars, for giving us average civilians a taste of high fashion for the evening. I wish that I could have included every stunning dress possible, because it was truly a great night for fashion. Congrats to all the Oscar winners and a special shoutout to Leonardo DiCaprio on first Oscar win. I'm proud of ya Leo, you deserve it pal.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
