Cars are one of the oldest forms of transportation in the book. They have carried people where they need to go for over 100 years. There is something comforting about an open road, a big, blue sky above and a perfect playlist blasting from the speakers. There are, however, a few necessities and guidelines to follow when you embark on your journey, to wherever it may be.

1. Some good people who can make you laugh, even when you are starting your 6^th hour on the same highway.
2. A fire playlist to sing along to, whether it be some relaxing Khalid or middle school Akon throwbacks.
3. Some very unhealthy, yet tasty snacks to hold you over until you make your 20^th stop just because the sign advertised yet another Dunkin Donuts.
4. A pillow and comfy blanket for the ride home to aid in your recovery from exhaustion due to the perfect getaway.
5. Last but not least, an outstanding destination. Wherever the road takes you, straight to a city or a little off the beaten path, the journey was just the build up.

So, maybe life really is about the journey. Take the scenic route and enjoy it.
