To the person who does it all,
Just know that no matter what others or even yourself may say -- you are good enough! There is more than one reason that can make you feel like you aren't good enough. Whatever the reason may be, learn how to work around it and tell yourself that you are good enough -- 'cause you are.
If you are anything like me, then you take on more than you can handle while still trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Taking on too much at one time it can cause yourself unneeded stress. This can put a lot pressure on yourself and you may start to feel like you aren't good enough. This feeling can be overwhelming and possibly cause you to not try as hard or to give up on things. I say forget it, if you are feeling like this -- you need to take a timeout. Yes, a timeout! Take the time to think about what is important to you and what you want out of life. Think about who you are and what your values are to bring you back to your happy place.
No one can tell you that you aren't good enough. If someone does -- whether it's your parents, siblings, friends, that significant other, boss, co-worker, peer, or a teacher -- you have the right to tell them that they are wrong. Don't feel bad telling them they are wrong because they are, and they should be the one who feels bad for saying something hurtful. I promise that you are good enough; you just might need an extra reminder.
Who cares if you aren't the top of your class, valedictorian, captain of your sports team, the best player on your team, the greatest driver, or even the most perfect person. By the way, no one can be perfect 24/7; everyone has the right to mess up, sometimes. So who cares if you aren't the smartest, prettiest, most athletic, most outgoing, richest, or always being surrounded by a crowd of people. Over the years, most of us learn that it is more important to have a handful of close friends rather than a bunch of people you call friends. The bottom line comes to a certain point of it doesn't matter if you aren't the best at something, because there will normally be someone out there that is better than you. It is just something that has to be accepted by everyone because it is part of life. Lesson learned -- always remember that you are good enough and that you shouldn't tell yourself different.
