Dear America,
What is going on? It's 2016, we made it past the alleged 2012 apocalypse but for some reason nothing has been going right. There have been more shootings in the past two years then I think there has been since the 20th century. There's chaos and racism, anti-gay, anti-black, anti-change. Police officers are dying, innocent people at clubs and schools and movie theaters are dying. I never thought I would live in a world where I would flinch and turn around every time I heard someone get up or walk around in a movie theater. Americans are scared for their lives and why is nothing happening.
We say things like anti-gun laws and new rules but with all the hate and the people that love guns will it ever really change? Will we ever get the result we want, will we live in a world where we don't fear for our lives every time we step outside? Will we ever live in a world where presidential candidates don't get into Twitter fights and post their political platforms on social media? Are we going to live in a world where a presidential candidate responds to acts of gun violence with statements such as "I knew that ISIS was going to attack us." Are we going to live in a world where innocent black men and women die because of racial profiling? Will we live in a world where actors will be petitioned to be fired from a show because they speak their mind about anti-racism?
When will we be a nation again? When will be in a world with less hate and violence. When will we live in a world where Hilary Clinton isn't referred to as an "ice queen" just because she works hard. Will we ever live in a world where people will finally open their eyes and ears and actually listen to Donald Trump and finally understand how purely awful and heinous he is. Donald Trump is a war waiting to happen. Say what you want about Clinton but she won't lead us to war and more terrorism. So many have already tried to harm and kill Trump can you imagine what it will be like if he becomes our president. Letting Obama go, is going to hurt our country which is why we need a strong president. We need to live in a nation that's better than this, we as a country are better than this. It's time to drop our weapons whether it be guns, our mouths, or our keyboards, we need to fix America. We are better than this violent, hurtful country we are being right now. We need a leader, we need change, we need hope.
Yours truly,
An extrmeley concerned American
