Yes, you.

An Open Letter To The Trump/Hillary/Bernie/Rubio Haters

To The Presidential Candidate Haters,

At age 20, I consider myself decently informed and open-minded to the politics occurring in the world around us. I'd like to think I know enough about the economy, environment, fiscal policy, and educational matters to form an opinion and affiliate with one party (or, closely enough to one party).

And sure, let it be known that there are countless things I disagree with going on in both parties right now. It seems as though this pool of candidates isn't nearly as strong as prior years (which, we're all pretty well aware of).

But what we all need to do is take a step back and think about how angry we're getting at these candidates. Is you bashing Trump supporters on my newsfeed going to change the fact that Donald Trump is a narcissist who is exceptional at being very politically incorrect? No. Is you making a joke of Hillary's prior (and ongoing) allegations going to change the fact that she KILLED Bernie on Super Tuesday? No.

In today's society, people are just so constantly angry at one another. If you don't agree with someone's political views, fine. But why is that a reason to put down someone else? We live in a world where if someone's beliefs are not our own, then they're either: 1. Wrong 2. A racist/narcissist or 3. Too "soft".

What I'm wondering is, how can we make a world where we can have our own opinions without being labled superior, selfish, needy, lazy, unintelligent, etc.-- Is it even possible to have your own opinion without so much controversy?

There will never be a time when every single person is in agreement. And heck, this is actually a good thing. But I look forward to a day when each person can express themselves without being told they're "wrong"... And without all of this anger.

Pre/post every single debate... I've never seen so much hate and anger on the Internet in my life. It's time we take a step back, and realize that we're actually called the UNITED States. And whoever becomes the president, or even the republican/democrat nominee, is someone we're going to have to unitedly support.

Rant over.

Sincerely,
Tired Of Angry Facebookers

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
