An Open Letter To An Amazing Big

I am so grateful I am your little.

Dear Biggie,

I still remember the night we met. Our friends suggested we would be a good big/little pair. You suggested Potbelly and I couldn’t have been more nervous. The big/little process wasn’t working out in my favor, but then I found you.

I am forever thankful to have opened my bid to our sorority and have ensured right then and there our paths would cross. I know you will always be there to protect me from whatever college (and life) may throw my way.

Thank you for the endless presents during big-little week. I remember freaking out thinking you weren’t my big because your clues in the notes threw me off. I now have an endless (and by endless, I literally mean endless) amount of sorority shirts to wear. And thanks to you, I now have a beautiful collection of canvases that remind me of you every time I look at them! Thank you for teaching me the ropes of sorority life. Without you, I would literally know close to nothing about being a sorority sister. Thank you for always being down to eat our body weight in food. I appreciate all our McAlister’s and Chick-Fil-A lunch dates.

Thank you for making our sorority feel like home so fast. I don't know what I would have done without you. Thank you for always being willing to take pictures with me everywhere we go (literally). I'm glad I have found someone so much like me.

Thank you for knowing exactly what to say when I’m stressed. Thank you for sitting with me in Club Lib and giving me a break from studying. Thank you for the beautiful Snapchats that you send me. I know that if I ever need a laugh, I can come to you for so much heartfelt laughter!

Thank you for being an amazing older sister. I am so grateful I am your little nugget. Thank you for giving the best hugs exactly when I need them most. All in all biggie, thank you for being you. I don't know what I did before we were big and little, and I cannot wait for a lifetime of more adventures!

Love,
Your Little

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
